Done, done, done, done, dooooonnnnneeeeee!
After illness (Chris is feeling MUCH better, thankfully--that was definitely scary!), panic, and a lot of work, it is finally done .
Well, mostly.
Chris has two days of figuring out switches and HVAC stuff that is boring and not pretty and not my department.
So for all intents and purposes, it's DONE.
Wow. What a journey.
Y'all ready to see it? All of it? No more sneak peeks and carefully cropped shots to hide the mountain of construction mess lurking around the corner!
I give you the whole enchilada!

Sooooo........what do you think?? Later I will post the before pics and you can really see how different it all looks. And some other fun details. For now, my head is hitting the pillow.
Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement along the way! It has helped enormously. <3

OMG! It looks absolutely amazing!!! You guys did an awesome job!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen!!
DeleteOMG Betsy! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I stumbled across your blog a while back when looking for a certain type of Pergo flooring (the hubby and I were contemplating a DIY project) and you happened to be using that exact wood flooring in this house! It helped enormously to see your pics and see it in a much broader view than just the 2"x2" square I can find on the internet! However, while on your blog I fell in love with all that you were doing.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I live in Eastern NC- close enough to the coast to consider ourselves 'coastal'- lol. We have been renovating and refinishing our home for the last 2 years (it was a foreclosure) and our style is sort of a modern cottage, beachy urban farmhouse vibe- it that makes any sense! But everything I've seen you do totally resonates with me! And I love your style.
I know I'm typing an epistle, so I'll sign off here, but I did want to let you know that it has been inspiring watching you and Chris create and I am inspired by all you have done! I totally hope you will let me bend your ear (or eye in email as the case may be) at some point and find out where you got several of your items, as they would be PERFECT in my home and I couldn't begin to know where to find them! Again, BEAUTIFUL work! GREAT job!

Thanks,Jenn!! At some point I was hoping to share where I acquired some of the items in the house, but email away!! :)
DeleteWOW What an amazing job!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been great to watch your progress through your facebook posts.
All the hard work, blood, sweat and tears have paid off.
(I hope Chris' elbow is healed and back to normal)
I love the rope tying station.
I wish you weren't so far from NH
I suspect "Stranded on Purpose" will see many weekly visitors in the years to come.
Congrats ~ Tasha (Cote) Meszar
Thank you so much, Tasha! Chris is doing MUCH better. Love and miss you, friend! xoxo
